Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Andrew Kelsey has kept many glued to their seats at the listening of his original music. He is one of many up-and-coming artists on the San Francisco Bay area music scene. Andrew’s folk, rock, and musical theatre roots lend well to his writing and performing styles. He often draws comparison to James Taylor, Dave Matthews, and Hootie & The Blowfish. Written from personal experiences, Andrew’s songs touch people in a common place.
He’s become a mainstay on the San Francisco music scene at such clubs as The Phoenix, Café Bazaar, and Hotel Utah. Andrew’s played in a number of venues including: The Voodoo Lounge, The Red Devil Lounge, Ireland’s 32, Sacred Grounds, The Chit Chat Café, and Java On Ocean.
Andrew is well versed in performing live as a solo acoustic artist, as well as with a full band, often supported by several local musicians and friends. Andrew can engage an audience with a range of sounds from a mellow groove to a funky energy with a variety of colors and flavors that are the signature of his original style.
2002 has brought a year full of growth and forward momentum to his music career. Regular performances throughout the City (and LA), along with consistent demand from a growing fan-base, have lead Andrew to shift to a full time music career. The last year has lead to the completion of his first fully produced CD, BREATHE, released Mid-October 2002.
